It all started with the fact that Watanabe himself tried unsuccessfully to lose weight for many years. He tried many diets, but later decided to rely not on them but on scientific knowledge, which is learned from scientific papers. His wife, my pharmacist, and it can also be considered a co-author of the book.

Together they came up with a method of losing weight that has become incredibly fast gaining popularity all over the world - not only in Japan. It is especially good for those who do not like to sweat in the gym.

Fat people are usually advised to work more physically to burn more calories. Before Watanabe had a task to do without this recommendation: the Japanese like no other nation in the world knows what “no time for myself”.

And here is a simple solution: 1 fresh banana and a glass of water in the morning.

This is instead of Breakfast. The most difficult here: to survive, to eat nothing before lunch.

Bananas are full of resistant starch that stimulates the metabolism.

The starch in bananas is not the same that in potatoes.

It is digestible and resistant. Resistant starch in the small intestine does not dissolve, and should be directly into the colon, where it begins the process of fermentation.Bacteria of the colon process it into short chain fatty acids. They nourish the cells and promote healthier gastrointestinal tract.
